I would probably live with the down on power it wasn't huge, but the 15k more for the Cat turned me away. A question for the guy that has the ASV.

Oct 30, 2008 · Gouge out with Arc-Air torch, grind all the carbon and slag out of grove, (very important to grind out) then backfill with good 7018 weld. Let all hot welds cool naturally, do not use water to cool off. Don't get the cheeks so built up that the excavator can't pull the bucket thorough the cut.

Jan 03, 2007 · I have to agree with the post from Medow Lark. A dozer is an absolute must is you own more than a few acres. I have 450 acres in western new york and have built 12 ponds. For a one acre pond or smaller, a small dozer like a Cat D3 or D4 is ok. For larger ponds you really need big equipment like a D6 or a D8.
